HARRISON HOME TOUR: ALL AGES

Docents guide students through the elegant home of Indiana’s only U.S. President. The dining room displays Presidential china, and Harrison’s study is filled with personal belongings from his White House years. The majority of the house furnishings, which give an accurate view of the Victorian era, are original to the Harrison family. Featured this year are the new renovations to the home, including the original wallpaper designs in the parlors and library. The ballroom exhibit changes yearly. The 2009 exhibit "William Henry Harrison: Tippecanoe and History Too" highlights the private and public life of Benjamin'sgrandfather. The 2010 exhibit "All Aboard! Making Tracks with the Presidential Train" explores the ways in which Presidents have travelled by train.
